With Georgia weather, you really never know what you are going to get! Were were planning on freezing temperatures and the chance of rain for Emily & Patricks wedding this weekend. But boy, were we wrong! This had to be one of the most beautiful winter weddings i’ve ever photographed – highs in the 70’s and no rain! And to our complete surprise – cherry blossoms! It doesn’t get better than that.
Emily & Patrick are so incredibly kind and easy going. They both met at a summer camp years ago when they were kids and several years passed before their love emerged. In fact, Emily was thinking about moving out of state just days before she was reunited with Patrick. Talk about impeccable timing! And we are all so glad they did meet up again, because they are so perfect together and to see them get married is such a beautiful part of their story.
This little flower girl was so spunky and full of surprises!
I love these flower hoops! What an amazing concept and design.
Emily had her grandparents wedding rings added to her wedding bouquet. These little heirloom details add so much charm and personalization to her bouquet.
Emily was seriously so stunning!
Then we checked in on the guys. I always love how groomsmen in the south are such gentlemen. I’ve never had a groomsmen group that wasn’t fun to photograph. They are always up for any ideas or photos – especially Patrick and his guys! You can always tell a lot about a person by the friends they surround themselves with. And this was a great group!
Patrick & Emily were so excited for their “first look”. I love his reaction!
By doing a first look, Patrick & Emily had some extra photo-time together. Just sharing more of the day with each other and taking it all in. I think this makes your wedding day ever sweeter!
We even did a first look with Emily’s dad and grandfather – I mean, how much sweeter can this get? When I told them they could open their eyes, Emily’s dad said under a muffled teary voice “I can’t” which had everyone in happy tears that he was so overcome with emotion and he hadn’t even seen her yet!
And just like that, we were headed to the ceremony.
This little flower girl! With each handful of flower petals she grabbed, she made sure they were tossed on the ground by giving them an extra jolt to ensure they would make it. She was making sure they all made their way to the ground like she was told to do. Completely a surprise to everyone!
I love this secret shot of Emily and her grandfather. So much love!
The waterfall club in Clayton was an amazing venue and location for this wedding. No major decorations needed with you have an overlook like this!
With every couple that does a first look, I always like to take a few shots of them as a married couple. The lighting changes and offers a different look – but it also captures you in the first few moments as a married couple. And I could not get over these cherry blossoms and mountains. What a backdrop!
Now to the reception! The waterfall club offered such a cozy environment for everyone who came.
With the sunset going over the mountains, we snuck the newlywed couple outside for a few extra pictures and I am so glad we did. Breathtaking!
Congratulations to this fun-loving couple! And as the wedding mantra went “may your love be fuller”
Thanks to the amazing team of vendors who made everything come together so beautifully!
