Tyler & Emily

When friends get married it is always extra sweet! I’ve known Tyler and Emily for a few years and it was the best news ever, when I heard they got engaged! Tyler is the friend that knows everyone and has a way of bringing people together. While Emily is amazing at making people feel comfortable and loved! These two are the perfect couple and together I know they will accomplish so much! I am so thrilled to share their wedding on the blog today!

While these two have been cruisin the Caribbean, I’ve been working away on their wedding pictures to share with them! Since they are now back in town….here we go!!

Their beautiful fall wedding was at Grandview in Chattanooga which just happens to be right next to Lookout Mountain. I had no idea this venue was here! Seriously a secret gem! Since it was literally on the mountain, there were some gorgeous scenic views and so many places to take pictures. Basically a photographers dream! And it happened to be a sunny day (hallelujah!) and that mixed with the fall colors was amazing! Not to mention all of the amazing people who were there. I think the best weddings are the ones who have sweetest friends & guests of the bride & groom. You can have a beautiful wedding, but if the guests are not invested in your life….it’s kinda an awkward party. This wedding was far from awkward…it was so genuine and happy! My type of wedding.

My ultimate favorite part of their wedding (which is so hard to narrow down) was when Tyler & Emily shared handwritten letters with each other while they were hidden from each other. You have to scroll down to see these pictures. Such a sweet moment before their ceremony. They also shared a quick prayer together before they went back to their hiding spots.

Tyler & Emily are one of the sweetest couples I know and it has been such a joy to work with them and photograph their wedding. They had so many great wedding moments…I’ll just share them as the day progressed (because there are some fun things that went down!). Take a look!

Also, huge thanks to all of the amazing vendors who worked together on making their wedding come together so beautifully. You guys are wonderful!

First look with dad…I always love these!

Now a quick moment for them to read their letters and pray.

Now photo time! I always recommend taking as many pictures before the ceremony as you can so that you can spend more time later at your reception. Win-win! These ladies did a great job of looking like they were warm. It was pretty chilly outside! Super impressed with how they all handled it! And then it started to warm up a bit once we took the guys outside. I love the light in these photos!

Now time for the ceremony!

We headed right around the corner and it completely changed the look of their pictures. It amazing what a few steps can change. I love both of these locations and looks!

The staff at Grandview were so kind and accommodating! They brought out a golf cart and drove us around to various places to take pictures. Amazing! If we had waled here….we would have been gone for hours! I know Tyler & Emily had to have felt like the ultimate VIP’s getting carted around and as the mountain visitors congratulated them. A little “royal wedding” type moment.

Then we headed back to the reception for some celebrating!

Now introducing Mr. & Mrs. Jones!

This group had some dance moves I wasn’t prepared for! Including a dance-off with a bridesmaid & groomsmen. Gold!!!

Now for the cake! Tyler & Emily asked their best man and maid of honor to come up and help them cut their cake. First of all…who needs helps cutting the cake? I don’t know how they didn’t see that this was at all weird. I’ll just let the pictures explain the rest…

Best secret ever! They really had no idea what was coming!

Congratulations Tyler & Emily!! You are the perfect match for each other and I know your marriage is going to be full of love and laughter. Enjoy each moment! – Audrey
