I first met Anthony & Brittney exactly 1 year ago when we took their engagement picture here in Atlanta at a small airport. We had such a great time taking their pictures with airplanes (you can see those here) With Anthony being stationed in South Dakota and Brittney being in school in Alabama….it would only make sense that they would find me in Georgia to photograph their wedding in North Carolina. Still following?
Somehow all of our crazy worlds collided and I am so glad it did! My second shooter (Sara) and I traveled to their wedding this Memorial Day weekend – you guys, it was amazing!! Brittney and Anthony are one of the most thoughtful and giving couples i’ve had the pleasure of working with. The entire weekend, they were both so invested in making sure all of their wedding guest were comfortable and having a fun time. I can’t tell you how many times Brittney asked me “how are you doing?” I am still just so floored at how kind and thoughtful they both are. And these two know how to throw a great celebration – they even brought out the helicopter! You absolutely have to scroll down and see their exit photos!
I know life has its twist and turns that amazingly leads you to the right person. And after all these years of being so far away, I know Anthony and Brittney are so glad to finally be together and enjoy just living life as a married couple. Their wedding weekend was one I truly won’t forget and it was such an honor to be there. Here are some of my favorite moments from their day! Helicopter and all!
I never even knew that such a thing as the Bardot Beauty Bus even existed! When Brittney was first telling me about it, I could hardly wait to see it! It did not disappoint 😉
I love that Brittney had Kate Spade shoes that matched a set of hand painted wine glasses she found! What a rare find!
I am so glad that the weather was so pretty for their wedding! Just a little windy for the girls….but they did amazing! And I think we were all thankful for a little breeze outside. It did crack me up when we saw a shadow figure in the mens restroom and everyone was convinced that it was Anthony and he might see Brittney. These girls were on it! They were not going to let him get one glimpse of her.
These guys were really up for anything and were super excited about these road photos! I think it fits them perfectly!
We went right down the road to Brittney’s family farm – Sharp Farms. And this has to be the most amazing wedding venue space. They transformed this place into something so unique and magical! The walls surrounding the reception were made with stacked wooden crates from the farm – this made the coolest backdrop for photos!
My favorite detail at their reception was the a parachute chandelier over the dance floor! So fitting since Anthony is in the Air Force. Just wow!
I LOVE that instead of guest favors, they gave donations to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation in honor of the grooms mother, Karen, who is winning her battle with breast cancer! Yay – so happy for her and this victory! And they also made donations to the Arthritis National Research Foundation. How amazing is that!?
The grand finale helicopter exit was the coolest thing i’ve ever seen!!! Just an amazing way to end an amazing wedding. I know Brittney was crying happy tears because she was just so overwhelmed with love from all of their family and friends. So incredibly sweet!
Congratulations Anthony & Brittney! Hope you have many many more adventures together – whether its flying or just everyday life, enjoy each minute!
