Romantic Save The Date Cards
The time between Thanksgiving and Valentine’s day are the most popular months to get engaged! Wedding industry professionals call this time “engagement season”. And it’s true – have you seen how many billboards on the highway feature a large engagement ring? Or noticed the commercials on tv or the radio – hello engagement season! I’ve seen a number of new engagements pop up in my newsfeed and it makes me so happy. During these months I get a large number of inquiries for engagement sessions. I always encourage my couples to have an engagement session before their wedding -in fact, I include it in all of my wedding packages for free because that is how much I love & value them! It relaxes your nerves about taking pictures on your wedding day and…it gives you photos to use in a save-the-date card. Now, most people might think, why would you need a save-the-date card if you are just going to send an invitation a few months later? Save-the-dates serve a huge purpose! They are the perfect way to let your wedding guests know when & where your wedding will be with plenty of time in advance for them to mark their calendar and plan for travel & accommodations. Once you’ve booked your venue and have a date – you are all set to pick out a save-the-date card.
Many brides use their save-the-date card and invitation suite as inspiration for their wedding colors and theme. I’ve seen so many brides bring their wedding stationary with them as they pick out flower colors or reception decor. It just makes it that much easier to match things up!
