Morning engagement sessions are becoming a favorite of mine! Especially during this sweet spot of pre-spring weather that we have been experiencing here in Atlanta Georgia. Right before the pollen hits too! We woke up super early to get to Piedmont Park right as the sun came up and it was so worth it. Not a soul was around and we had the park to ourselves – as well as some gorgeous morning light!
These two could seriously be a rom/com in real life! Julie and Walker have known each other since they were 5 or 6 in kindergarten. That is a very long time!! They knew each other growing up and didn’t start dating until junior year of high-school. Since then, their relationship has continued to grow and they are now more in love than ever! After 7 years of “officially” dating, Walker proposed to Julie on a picnic date with the ring attached to their dog’s collar. How stinkin’ cute is that!? Seriously movie material. And the ring was handcrafted using Walker’s grandmothers diamond. So sentimental and sweet! Of course she said yes and the rest is history!
They are both looking forward to celebrating their wedding in a fun and chill way! Since they are very low-key and love spending quality time together, their wedding plans are centered in on having a fun time with their closest family and friends. I absolutely can’t wait for their wedding this November!
I love the contrasting colors in this next photo. Also, behind-the-scenes note- I may or may not have move a HUGE mouse trap out of this shot beforehand. It was such an eye sore!! And gross. I’m not afraid to get my hands dirty (and you better believe I washed my hands asap after this!) lol What we do to get the perfect shot!
I love all of the elements to Piedmont Park; the gazebo, the skyline, the blooming trees, and of course the hidden gems (more of that further down)
Ok, so here is the backstory of this “hidden gem”. We saw this bicycle sitting on the side of a walkway and passed it a few times during the engagement session. Even after seeing a security guard come take a look at it and leave it there, we decided to borrow it for a few shots! And these turned out so cute! Definitely some of my favorites for sure. Of course we brought the bike back to where we found it and never really found out who’s it was. Such a random and fun treasure we found!
I am so excited for Julie & Walker’s wedding coming up this fall. I know with how laid-back and kindhearted they are, we are going to have the best time! And their relationship story is so sweet – I can’t wait to see them get married! I’m already on the edge of my seat hearing their love story. This is going to be a good one!!
