John & Jorie

In between the rainy days and crazy pollen days we have been experiencing here in Georgia, there was a day that had the most beautiful spring weather – and that was Jorie & John’s wedding day! No rain and very minimal pollen. This is a big deal, because just the day after their wedding, everything turned yellow. Poof – yellow dust everywhere! We all know that the yellow pollen and white wedding dresses do not mix. Thank goodness it held out for their day!

I was so excited to hear that their wedding was going to be at the Rose Lawn Museum in Cartersville – just a little north of Atlanta. This venue is a hidden gem with so many Victorian elements. It really added to the overall romantic feeling of John & Jorie’s wedding day. Added in the pink blooming trees and the yellow ivy and it could not have more wonderful! Might I also add that they had catered Chick-fi-la = heaven’s chicken! (me and my second shooter Kelsey were so happy!)

When I asked John & Jorie what 3 words described their wedding day plans, their answer was “ fun, romantic & God-centered” And everything  was exactly that! Their bridal party was such a fun friend group – you can easily tell that there are some lifelong friendships in this mix. When John & Jorie were together, you could easily tell that they loved and respected each other. It was not difficult to pose them in romantic poses- this is really what they looked like! Making my job such a breeze! Their strong faith was intertwined throughout the day with prayer & scripture; making their wedding even more personal to them.

These are just a few of my many favorites from John & Jorie’s wedding day! I seriously had a hard time narrowing down their blog post. So many amazing moments!

Doesn’t Jorie look like a princess! Seriously stunning!

Now to see the guys….they were too fun!

John & Jorie wanted to take a few moments before the ceremony and take a “first touch” picture inside the house. They were a little nervous they might accidentally see each other )I made sure they didn’t!) but I think it was really sweet!

A quick prayer and then we were off to the ceremony!

They are married!! So much joy!

Jorie’s veil was so long – I loved it!! We had to take a few fun veil shots with it of course! It was a little windy, so it made it pretty interesting to get these. But I think the wind gave it more movement and flow. Way more fun!

Reception time! Love to see this group dancing and having a great time! So much happiness and joy here!

Congratulations John & Jorie! Your relationship and love story is so sweet and rare! One i’ll never forget for sure! It has truly been an honor to capture your wedding and the start to your marriage journey. Hope Hawaii is treating you well this week! Enjoy that sunshine! Hugs! – Audrey Grace
