It was a blast from the past as I drove up to the North Georgia Mountains for JR & Stephanie’s wedding. You see…I actually went to photography school about 10 minutes away from their wedding venue (The Retreat at Long Mountain), so the drive was very nostalgic! Who knew that 10 years after college I would in the same area photographing a wedding – I love when life surprises you like that! I met Stephanie through a mutual friend (Hi Sandra!) and I was so excited to have their wedding as the start of my new year. Based on how sweet and beautiful their wedding was, I’d say that 2021 is off to a great start.
Not only are smaller weddings become the new trend – but winter weddings are becoming just as popular! Which I love! The icing on the cake for this wedding the stunning sunset we had – if you have a pretty sunset, you can make any picture look golden and warm regardless of the time of year. It was perfect!
JR and Stephanie were absolutely the sweetest and I couldn’t help but feel like I knew them for years (you know when you meet people like that!) They are both so kind and warm hearted, it wasn’t difficult to photograph them because they were so natural together. Here are some of my favorite photographs from their day!
Congratulations JR & Stephanie! If you are planning a small wedding and would like more info, I’d love to hear from you here!
