The Dreamy Day
One of Brandon and Courtney’s dreams for their wedding day was to be married at Christ the King Cathedral Church in Atlanta. It is the most breathtaking church for a Catholic wedding in the Atlanta area. Their dream came true on a sunny 4th of July weekend with all of their friends and family surrounding them. They were able to get married on one of the last Saturdays available in 2022 at the Christ the King Cathedral Church in Atlanta and had the most beautiful Catholic ceremony.
Brandon and Courtney’s love story started years ago when they were each moving into a new apartment complex at the same time. They each became friends with the neighbors. The friendships turned into your modern day cast of Friends. They even all vowed not to ever date within the group to preserve the friendships they had created. That obviously didn’t work out for Brandon and Courtney. They later started dating making them the Monica and Chandler of the group.
Details
One of my absolute favorite details from the day was the elegant light blue color Courtney chose. The elegant blue was the color of the bridesmaids dresses, floral details and even Courtney’s shoes. Everything was so beautifully tied together.
We ended up taking most of the Bride and Groom portraits at this small quaint little park and I’m so glad we did they turned out stunning! There is a huge road race in Atlanta on the 4th of July weekend, making it hard to find a park or street without bright race flags or orange cones in the background. But Courtney and Brandon were so understanding and continued to roll with it all day. Even though it was so HOT! It’s funny because when we took their engagement photos in early springtime it was so cold it was almost unbearable. These two have definitely survived both brutal ends of Georgia weather.
After Hours
The reception was truly magical. Brandon and Courtney had a live band for their guests to enjoy. This created the most unique atmosphere all night. It was such a perfect way to end a memorable day full of family and friends truly so happy to celebrate Brandon and Courtney’s love.
