A Winter Wonderland
Mark and Kayla’s December Wedding at the Cowan Historic Mill in downtown Acworth was nothing short of a winter wonderland. Stunning Christmasy florals and tons of perfectly thought out details, made me feel like I was in a true winter wonderland. The Cowan Historic Mil is such a unique venue with tons of original brick and SO much charm. It made for the perfect location for Mark and Kayla’s wedding.
We started the day at the Cowan Mill capturing some images of the girls getting ready. Kayla wanted to do a first look with her bridesmaids. It was so sweet to see their reaction of Kayla in her wedding dress! Kayla and Mark also had a first look of their own. They chose to do their first look where their ceremony would be held on the balcony. I always love when the bride and groom choose to do a first look- it gives the couple a chance to privately share a moment of calmness and love together with no one around.
UGA Bulldogs
One of my favorite moments of the day was when the officiant started their ceremony by paying tribute to their love of football by reading a letter from the Bulldogs coach, Kirby Smart. So unique, and definitely something everyone will remember! Definitely a first for me, and I’ve been to A LOT of weddings.
Dancing the night away
The reception was SO much fun. The reception was packed with all of Mark and Kayla’s loved ones. I really enjoyed seeing everyone that came to show their love for Mark and Kayla on their wedding day. Everyone was dancing and truly enjoying the magical evening in what felt like a true winter wonderland wedding. The reception was filled with tons of fun treats for the guests to enjoy. There was a perfect Charcuterie board from a local vendor (@picnicmarketacworth) and a breathtaking champagne display for guests. They even ended the night with cookies and milk for their guests. PERFECT way to end a night, if you ask me! After all the treats were enjoyed and everyone was danced out- Mark and Kayla departed The Coawn Historic Mill with a unique sparkler exit- leaving as the new Mr. & Mrs.
