Leo & Marissa’s wedding day at The Wimbish House, was a true honor to be a part of. Within a few hours of being around them and their families, I could see how much they valued their families and how much of an impact their families have had on their lives and their relationship. It was honestly so sweet and pure to witness. Leo & Marissa’s wedding was full of heartfelt moments from the start of the day when they read their handwritten vows to each other, all the way to the end of the evening when they had a private last dance. Each part of the day reflected their relationship.
The Details
Marissa had every detail of their wedding day carefully and thoughtfully planned out. Some of the most special details she had put together were the tributes to Leo’s late father. Marissa surprised Leo with a Spanish Cathedral veil. Leo’s father was of Spanish heritage, so it was such a perfect tribute to him. A few of the other details of the day, like Leo’s Spanish family heirloom watch were also tributes to Leo’s father. I thought this was so special and such a wonderful way to remember him throughout their day. And they will always have these photos to look back at and remember him as a part of their day.
Before The Chaos
Leo and Marissa did a first look but rather than rushing around to get photos done, they decided to spend the time together reading their private vows and just truly taking the time to spend together and take in all of the emotions. It was so sweet and made their wedding day perfectly “them”. We snapped a few photos of their first look and then let them have their time together as bride and groom.
Elegant & Heartfelt Evening
The reception was only a continuation of all the beautiful, timeless details of the day. The gold accents and soft candles that Marissa chose for the reception added such a timeless touch that complimented the Wimbish House perfectly. As the festivities continued and the evening was drawing to a close, Marissa and Leo had pizza delivered for their guests for a late night snack- so fun!
