Ventanas Atlanta | John & Sarah’s Wedding Weekend Pt. 1

Ventanas in Downtown Atlanta has the best city skyline view! I know this is one of the reasons that drew Sarah and John to pick this location for the first part of their wedding weekend. Nothing beats a stunning view of the city from a rooftop!

Story goes, these two first met while their families were on vacation in Croatia. How cute is that?! What makes their story even sweeter is that their family was also there- and since their family means everything to them, it was only fitting that their family got to partake in their first “meeting”. And you can only imagine…..the rest of their story just fell into place perfectly! Since they both currently live in London, they first had an intimate ceremony there over the summer. Followed a few weeks later by this amazing wedding weekend here in Atlanta for their family and friends to enjoy. The first day of the weekend included a Mehndi ceremony and welcome party for their guest. And it could not have been a more fun night!

We began their pictures with their first look on the Ventanas helipad. And let me tell you, this view is amazing!! Definitely not for anyone who is afraid of heights – because it is really up there! You could feel the summer wind blowing all around us as we were up on the roof. It was such a unique experience!

The evening began with a quick ceremony inside; everything was so sweet and beautiful! Afterwards, everyone gathered on the outdoor rooftop patio for cocktail hour before the dinner began. My favorite part of the evening was the special dances that were choreographed and planned- I was so impressed by how beautiful these moments were. As the sun began to set, we snuck John & Sarah back to the helipad for a few sunset pictures together. It was absolutely breathtaking! Their wedding welcome party was the perfect way to share their marriage nuptials with their closest friends and family. And the weekend only gets better – the next day was a completely different occasion that I will be sharing in another blog post. But until then, go check out the first part of their celebration!
