This Decatur newborn session took place in the family’s Kirkwood home during early summer, when the light was soft and the days felt unhurried. In-home newborn photography allows for a slower pace; perfect for newborns and parents alike. Baby Patrick was calm and content, surrounded by love from the very start.

I first photographed Danielle and her family in 2019 when they welcomed their first baby boy. Returning years later to document their third son was incredibly special. Watching families grow is one of the most rewarding parts of my work, and this session felt like coming full circle.

The sibling photos from this session are some of my favorites. The older brothers were absolutely smitten with Baby Patrick; gentle, proud, and full of excitement. Those in-between moments of connection often become the most cherished images.

One of the most meaningful parts of this session was stepping outside for family photos in front of their home. With a move on the horizon, it was important to Danielle to preserve this chapter of their lives. These images serve as a visual memory of the place where so many milestones happened.

This session was filled with joy, tenderness, and laughter. Photographing Baby Patrick at home, surrounded by family and familiar spaces, created images that feel warm, timeless, and true. If you’re considering a Decatur newborn session, in-home photography is a beautiful way to tell your family’s story exactly as it is…right now!
