There’s something about summer sessions that feels effortlessly joyful. Warm light, relaxed schedules, and families simply enjoying time together create the perfect environment for natural photography. This family session in Marietta, Georgia with Brenna, Jon, and their son Dean was exactly that; easygoing, fun, and full of genuine moments.
As a Marietta family photographer, I love when sessions unfold naturally rather than feeling overly posed. This family embraced that perfectly.

One of the most meaningful parts of this session was the connection behind it. Brenna is a wedding planner with Marmaros Productions, and that’s how we originally met. Working in the same industry creates such wonderful relationships, and it’s incredibly special when those professional connections turn into opportunities to capture personal milestones.
Getting to photograph Brenna’s growing family felt like a full-circle moment.

One of the best parts of this session was Dean. Now that he can walk and explore, he brought so much personality and curiosity to the shoot.
Rather than trying to slow him down, we simply followed his lead.
That approach allowed us to capture:
Toddlers bring so much life to a session, and letting them move freely often results in the most meaningful images.

For this session, we focused on creating a balanced gallery with both traditional portraits and candid storytelling moments.
We made sure to capture:
It worked out perfectly to combine personal memories with a photo that Jon could also use professionally.

More than anything, this session was about capturing natural and happy family pictures. The Warrick family brought such a relaxed, joyful energy, which made every moment feel genuine and easy.
When families focus on simply being present with each other, the photos naturally reflect that love and connection.

One of the greatest privileges of being a Marietta family photographer is getting to watch families grow over time. From professional connections to family milestones, every session becomes part of a larger story.
The Warrick family session was filled with laughter, curiosity, and genuine love; exactly the kind of moments that make family photography so meaningful.
And Dean definitely kept us smiling the entire time.

If you’ve been thinking about updating your family photos, this is your sign to make it happen. Family sessions are about more than just getting everyone in the same frame; they’re about capturing the genuine moments, laughter, and connection that make your family unique.
Whether your little ones are learning to walk like Dean, celebrating a new season of life, or you simply want to document this stage before it changes again, natural and joyful photos become memories you’ll treasure for years to come.
As a Marietta family photographer, I focus on creating relaxed sessions that allow your family to simply be yourselves—resulting in authentic, timeless images you’ll love.
