With the new year, I get more inspired with new goals and dreams. I hit my to-do list with a fury passion and push myself to make this year greater than the last. A few weeks later, I discover that the goals I have made cannot be accomplished without a little r&r. (rest + relax). Studies show that the more you breaks you take, the more productive and creative you can be. Um, yes….sign me up!
So, last weekend we packed our bags and took a mini vacation! We had the opportunity to help lead worship for a youth group camp in St. Simons Island and it was awesome!
Being in an atmosphere of constant peace and reverence of God, really does re-set your goals and ambition. I feel even more inspiration and drive to “do more” but for different reasons. Reasons that draw you to a having a heart of gratitude and service rather than a heart of selfish ambition and pride. Taking some time to remember who God is and who I am; I feel so alive and refreshed!
