The Engine Room, Monroe Georgia Wedding Photographer

     Carsten & Rebekah had their winter wedding at The Engine Room in Monroe Georgia. If you have never seen this venue, it is a part of the historic Monroe Cotton Mill that housed engines for the mill. The renovated mill has the most beautiful exposed brick, hardwood floors, iron windows and industrial chic design – making it a gorgeous space for a wedding! When Rebekah was looking for a venue, this was the first one she saw and that was it, she knew this was the place to have their wedding. It was love at first sight! And I’ll vouch for her, this space is so unique and beautiful! 

    This amazing couple met years ago and have been inseparable ever since. They work together at the Fayetteville herb shop, and their relationship has grown into something so pure and sweet. Story goes that they first held hands at a Bible study – I mean, you can’t beat that! Carsten proposed to Rebekah while they were hiking (something they do together regularly). So of course we did engagement pictures a few weeks ago at one of their favorite spots. You can see that post here.

Carsten & Rebekah are so thoughtful and creative. Throughout the day, as wedding preparations began, they were both so excited to see each other! I would catch them glancing at each other and you could tell that had a special connection and respect for each other. Making it even more special to witness and photograph!

Just a few days before, we experienced a surprise snow fall here in Georgia. Completely unbelievable! Thankfully, the snow melted just in time for everyone to make it safely to their wedding. It reminds me of this verse from Isaiah 55:10

“As the rain and the snow
    come down from heaven,
and do not return to it
    without watering the earth
and making it bud and flourish,
    so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater”

There is nothing but blessings in store for Rebekah and Carsten. Their beautiful wedding weekend was such an amazing reflection of that. Snow and all!

We started the day with a few getting ready details and sweet moments. I love how Rebekah incorporated some of her favorite Celtic traditions throughout the day. Each and every detail was perfectly crafted just for them! Here are a few of my favorite moments from their day.
