Photographer’s Greystone Estate Favorites
Located in North Georgia, The Greystone Estate is truly a picture perfect wedding venue and a photographer’s dream location. This location has so many beautiful and timeless features for couples to take advantage of on their wedding day. This particular wedding I was assisting the amazingly talented Katie York Photography as a second shooter. The stunning mountain views and the reception hall adorned with chandeliers are probably my two favorite details at The Greystone Estate.
The Greystone Estate also has tons of outdoor options for guests to enjoy. At this wedding, the couple choose to have a cocktail hour outside. There were lovely furnishings for their guests to enjoy. Cocktail hour as you’ll see, was completed by a champagne wall. Each campaign glass had a tiny token with each guest name and table number for dinner. It was such an intricate detail that I’ve never seen before!
I think my favorite moment from this wedding day was when we got to photograph the couple later in the day right before the reception started. We went up to the top of a hill that had wildflowers growing everywhere and the mountains in the background. This little hidden spot away from the hustle of the reception gave us a chance to capture some romantic shots of just the couple that turned out beautifully.
Rain, rain, you don’t have to go away.
Not only does The Greystone Estate have tons of perfect outdoor spaces to utilize, they also have a perfect rain plan location if rain is expected. The rain ceremony location is still outdoors, allowing for those perfect natural light photos, but is covered by a gazebo type roof to keep everyone dry. It is so hard to find a venue that still offers that outdoor feel, even on rainy days! On this couple’s wedding day there was a slight chance of rain. The ceremony was held under the covered area and the mountains in the background were just breathtaking!
Perfect details
This couple’s wedding day was full of perfect details. From the wonderful jewel tones throughout the ceremony and reception to the perfectly set tables and arranged dessert display. The wedding planners at Weddings by Epic really did an amazing job with every aspect of this wedding. I am so thankful I was a part of this wedding day and got to witness the true beauty of The Greystone Estate.
